London Collections Men AW16 takes starts on Friday, 8th January and runs through Monday, 11th January at these venues. This is the Show Schedule of participating designers, brands and artists.
You’ll find everything you need to know on The British Fashion Council’s site, where they explain that “London Collections Men emphasises both the creative and commercial importance of British brands and emerging talent as well as the rich cultural landscape that contributes to the inspiration and success of this sector. All events on the schedule are designed to showcase the breadth of British fashion talent, from the world’s most innovative emerging talents to global menswear brands and Savile Row tailors.”
Gieves & Hawkes
We always look to the grandmasters of menswear, the classic tailors whose influence underpins British style, to understand both traditional imperatives and compelling new directions. Gieves & Hawkes is globally renowned for the quality of their bespoke tailoring and their exceptional service. Their luxury menswear range re-imagines the ethos of Savile Row for a contemporary man. We loved the AW15 dressed up urban weekend pieces featuring heavy cashmere knitwear, shearling and Nubuck; altogether an exceptional and category-leading ready-to-wear collection from the first tailor to establish themselves on Savile Row – No1 – back in 1771. Admiral Lord Nelson, Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin and David Beckham are just four Gieves & Hawkes customers through the ages. Twitter
Casely-Hayford
In 2015 our menswear readers engaged significantly with content that featured items from Peter Werth and Noose & Monkey, who combine traditional and modern style. We’re excited to see Casely-Hayford’s AW16 show footage because every season, father and son team Joe and Charlie, deliver an unsurpassed combination of English Heritage and British Anarchy. Joe has been a celebrated designer since the 1980s and in 2009, he and Charlie created their brand together, to convey their vision of London style to a global audience. The Clash, Lou Reed, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tinie Tempah have all been Casely-Hayford customers. Twitter Instagram
Topman Design
The first show of LCM, Topman Design will be setting the bar in its category. AW15 was like a Bay City Rollers X Evel Knievel mash up and like every Topman Design collection, it’s always fun. Topman is the flagship store of the contemporary young everyman, so design director Gordon Richardson and his team are challenged every season to create a collection that will interest and inspire their broad brand audience.
