It’s not often that we write about London events but Remembrance Day is coming up and good friends of Unfold London, The London Ballet Company, are performing their original work, Poppy, at the Bridewell Theatre. Tickets are just £7, you can buy them here, and performances start at 1PM.
In this production, Poppy is a child and we see the cataclysmic turn of events of 1914, through her eyes. Poppy is a moving and reflective performance for those who want to honour and remember the people who sacrificed themselves to secure the freedom we enjoy today.
We were lucky enough to visit TLBC last Friday, when they were rehearsing for their upcoming contemporary/neoclassical production, The Snow Queen, choreographed by Fran Mangiacasale. So far, there are three performances of the Snow Queen scheduled – you can buy tickets here – and The London Ballet Company has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help cover the costs of our their production. You can back the project here – there are plenty of worthwhile rewards for supporters.
